Build a Clear Local Identity for AI Search

Local authority begins with a verifiable identity: who you are, which brokerage you represent, where you work, and what you help clients do. For real estate AI search, make those facts easy to find and consistent wherever you publish them.
Make your professional identity clear
Audit your website biography, contact page, brokerage profile, and eligible Google Business Profile. Use your actual professional name, accurate role, current contact details, and genuine service areas. Explain distinctions between an individual agent, a team, and a brokerage instead of blending their identities.
Google’s business representation guidelines emphasize real-world business information and include specific guidance for individual practitioners. Follow the applicable requirements; do not invent offices or add location keywords to a business name to manufacture relevance.
A real estate example: context matters
In March 2026, Zillow explained how its AI Mode routes questions to specialized capabilities for property search, financing, and valuations. The experience uses the question and relevant property context to determine what information is needed.
This describes Zillow’s own product, not a ranking formula for agent websites. My practical inference is that specific context helps people—and retrieval systems—understand what your expertise applies to. “Real estate expert” is vague. A clearly supported explanation of the clients and locations you serve is useful.
Publish local knowledge with substance
Consider a Norfolk seller preparing an older home for market. A useful article could explain how you organize preparation decisions, identify questions for qualified inspectors, and locate official city information. Link to the relevant source, record when you checked it, and separate general process guidance from property-specific conclusions.
Avoid producing dozens of near-identical city pages with swapped place names. Each location page should contain information that earns its place: a distinct client question, an original explanation, and a reason to contact you about that market.
Your local identity checklist
- Confirm your name, brokerage, role, and contact details across core profiles.
- Describe the areas you genuinely serve in plain language.
- Add a named author and relevant experience to local guides.
- Review outdated facts and broken source links on a regular schedule.
Build on Part 1’s AI-search foundation, then use the MYFRND Skills Bank to outline your next local guide. Specificity creates a stronger starting point than repeating location keywords.
