Write Real Estate Answers AI Can Understand

Useful real estate content starts with a specific question and a direct answer. For AI search, clear headings, factual explanations, and identifiable sources make a page easier to interpret. They also help a busy buyer or seller decide whether your advice addresses their situation.
What Ask Redfin shows us
When Redfin introduced Ask Redfin in March 2024, it described an assistant that answered questions about for-sale homes using listing and other public information. Questions requiring agent judgment could lead to a human agent. That is a concrete real estate use case: helping people find facts while recognizing when professional interpretation matters.
The lesson for your content is practical, not a claim about Redfin’s search rankings. Distinguish a documented property fact from your analysis, and explain what information you would need before advising on an individual situation.
Use an answer-first article structure
- Ask one recognizable client question in the title or opening heading.
- Answer it in two or three plain-language sentences.
- Explain the process, variables, and relevant local context.
- Support important factual claims with dated, authoritative sources.
- End with a specific next step and a related article.
For example: “What information should I gather before comparing Norfolk condo listings?” An answer could organize the documents and questions a buyer should discuss with the appropriate professionals. Avoid inventing fees, restrictions, insurance terms, or approval requirements for a building you have not verified.
Make AI your drafting assistant
Try this prompt: “Using only the verified notes below, draft a buyer-friendly answer to [question]. Start with a concise answer, explain key variables, preserve source links, and mark missing facts as questions. Do not invent local rules, property details, or client outcomes.”
Then edit for your own judgment and voice. Add observations you can support, remove filler, and check that every source actually supports the nearby claim. A polished answer with incorrect details is still incorrect.
Should every page include an FAQ?
Only when the questions add value. A short, visible FAQ can clarify remaining issues; it is not a guarantee of an AI citation or a search enhancement. Prioritize the quality of the answer over repeated keywords.
Connect your answers to the local identity developed in Part 2. For reusable drafting workflows, explore the MYFRND Skills Bank. My goal is to help you publish fewer vague claims and more explanations your clients can use.
